Area women leaders speak out on why this ticket is out of touch on health and privacy issues
Green Bay, Wis. -- As John McCain and Sarah Palin travel to Green Bay for a rally this evening, it is clear that women voters will play a key role in the outcome of the presidential race in the is perpetual battleground state. The McCain-Palin ticket is among the most anti-choice in history, but as they call for the overturn of Roe v. Wade, there are even more issues that should concern voters. McCain voted to eliminate a program that provided 127,000 Wisconsinites with access to contraception, cancer screenings, and other health care. How will Sarah Palin explain this and similarly egregious votes to the moderate independent women they're courting in Wisconsin?
