Leading Pro-Choice Organization Endorses Jessica King for State Senate in 18th District
Oshkosh, WI - NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin PAC announced their endorsement of candidate Jessica King for State Senate in the 18th district today. King is known for her progressive leadership on the Oshkosh Common Council.
“Wisconsin women cannot afford to have another voice in the legislature that refuses to allow them to control our own reproductive options,” said NPCW Political Director Carmen Marg-Patton. “We need a Senator who is unyielding on issues of reproductive health care, who will firmly stand up for everything from accurate sex education to access to preventative care.”
“Jess King understands that women should not have to answer to anyone when it comes to making personal decisions about their bodies.”
Jessica King is running for a legislative seat that will be open upon the retirement of Sen. Carol Roessler.
“After 21 years of being represented by a staunchly anti-choice voice in the Senate, the 18th district will be proud to have a State Senator who will protect a woman’s access to birth control and reproductive health care,” said Katie Kluesner, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
“We are proud to endorse Jess King, a strong and qualified candidate who will stand up for Wisconsin women,” said Marg-Patton.
