NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin PAC endorses Scot Ross for Secretary of State
Ross will protect voting rights and women’s rights
Madison, WI – NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin PAC announced today its endorsement of Scot Ross, Democratic candidate for Secretary of State.
“With ultra-right wing politicians working to deny women access to birth control and deny voters access to the ballot box, we need candidates in every office willing to protect our rights, our health, and our democracy,”
said Kelda Helen Roys, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin.
Ross, a longtime Democratic activist and former journalist, is poised to bring enthusiastic and energetic leadership to an office long ignored.
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of an organization on the front lines of protecting our most cherished freedoms," said Ross. "We can't continue to support elected officials who sit on the sidelines while our liberties are under assault from extremists like Rep. Mark Green and his legislative allies."
NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin, one of the state’s leading political organizations, cited Ross’s unwavering support for the privacy rights of Wisconsinites, as well as his strong campaign, as reasons for their support.
“With Scot Ross, we have an opportunity to invest in a strong leader – one who has been active in our community, working to advance the values we all share,” continued Roys. “We are proud to support Scot, because we believe that Wisconsin voters and Wisconsin women deserve nothing less.”
