Governor Doyle Statement on NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin’s Prevention First! Day of Action
I commend NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin for their tireless efforts to improve women’s health and expand access to preventative care. Preventing unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections saves taxpayers money and improves the health of both women and children.
NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin’s work to protect access to preventative health services is exemplary. Prevention is something all Wisconsinites can agree on, and that’s why my administration has worked so hard to improve common-sense, cost-effective health care for all.
I hope Republicans leaders take NARAL’s message of ‘Prevention First’ to heart – the women and families of our state deserve access to the very best preventative health care, including family planning services.
