NARAL Wisconsin Hosts Choice Celebration in Northeast Wisconsin Tonight
Tonight pro-choice people from throughout northeast Wisconsin will gather in Green Bay with Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager to honor reproductive freedom, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and learning more about the grave threats to choice today.
“NARAL Wisconsin is very excited to host our first event in northeast Wisconsin. Attendees will learn about concrete steps they can take to protect choice, becoming NARAL Wisconsin members, joining the Choice Action Network (CAN) e-mail alert system and signing petitions for the Freedom of Choice Act, a federal initiative to affirm the original intentions of Roe, at the event. Tonight’s event will demonstrate that a pro-choice community is indeed thriving in northeast Wisconsin,” notes Deborah Lukovich, NARAL Wisconsin’s Executive Director.
“Legislators representing this area must realize that many people here are concerned about reproductive choice. We hope this event serves as a reminder to them that more than one perspective exists here,” adds Joan Mills, former Brown County Board Supervisor.
Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager adds, “I am pleased to join those in the Fox Valley who believe that reproductive choices should be made by individuals and not by governments.”
