Grassroots Organizing Intern
Description:The Grassroots Organizing Intern works to bring attention to and provide education about reproductive rights and women's health. The intern will continue past work on the Roe of Our Own campaign to create a strategic plan, plan and host events, create outreach material and train volunteers. Responsibilities include: • Create organizing strategic plan • Manage tabling team • Plan and execute educational and outreach events • Lead phone banks • Recruit campus organizers for the fall semester • Collect women's stories • Write email alerts • Other projects as they fit the intern’s interests and NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin’s needs
Qualifications: • Must be fully pro-choice and committed to ensuring all women have access to the full range of reproductive health care including abortion • Outgoing and able to work with a wide variety of people • Excellent writing skills • Self-motivated • Must be able to work efficiently and independently • Experience working with volunteers or being a volunteer is preferred but not required • Comfort working with Microsoft Word and Excel Hours: 10-15 hours per week. Times are flexible with some evening hours available. Unpaid, but staff will work with intern to obtain college credit.
