Events Intern

Description: The Events Intern works to research potential donors and plan small fundraising events.  Individuals in this position will learn how to create a finance plan, different fundraising methods, how to write a fundraising ask and where to look for donors.  Applicants should have an interest in nonprofit fundraising.
 
Responsibilities include:
• Find and research potential donors
• Assist with event planning
• Write and proof read fundraising appeals
• Phone bank
• Build a list of possible event locations across the state

Qualifications:
• Must be fully pro-choice and committed to ensuring all women have access to the full range of reproductive health care including abortion
• Ability to pay very close attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word & Excel
• Self-motivated
• Must be able to work efficiently and independently

Hours: 10-15 hours per week. Times are flexible with some evening hours.
Unpaid, but staff will work with intern to obtain college credit.
