After months of stalling by anti-birth control legislators, the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims bill (SB 129/AB 377) has FINALLY been scheduled for an Assembly floor vote!

The Compassionate Care for Rape Victims bill would require all Wisconsin emergency rooms to provide rape victims with information about and access to emergency contraception.  Currently, only one-third of the hospitals in Wisconsin have a policy of dispensing emergency contraception without exception.

Since the bill was first introduced five years ago, NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin, our coalition partners, and women's health supporters like you have worked tirelessly to get to this point.  We've gathered thousands of petition signatures, made thousands of phone calls to Wisconsin voters, held press conferences and hearings around the state, and lobbied hundreds of hours at the state capitol.
